Scott Foreman specializes in infusing the aural aesthetics of yesterday with a modern, dynamic energy. Born in the Sonoma Valley and raised on a diverse diet of Bay Area classic and psychedelic rock favorites, Foreman culls from a wide variety of influences, from the Dead to Dr. John, from Neil Young to Nick Drake, from Funkadelic to the Flaming Lips. His voice has drawn comparisons to John Fogerty, Gregg Allman and Elmore James, and his keyboard stylings hearken back to some remote juke joint somewhere outside of time and space.
Foreman was the lead singer and keyboardist in a successful funk/blues-rock band based out of Santa Barbara for five years, where his act had the opportunity to open for well-known acts like Cee Lo Green, Talib Kweli, Fitz & the Tantrums, Portugal The Man and more. Now living in his hometown, Foreman has struck out on his own and is enjoying the opportunity to create fully original material, inspired by those who have come before.
